Ooh so it is, doesnt time fly

I do have a valid excuse for the lack of progress though, yesterday I moved house and its taken 5 months to sort things and get moved.
The main reason for the move is to gain some space for cars, Ive now got a 100 foot x 30 foot workshop with 3 phase electric and numerous other outbuildings. So once the house is in some sort of order I can get the workshop sorted and then crack on with the cars.

Hello all, its been a while since Ive posted on this thread and thats because...................Ive done bugger all!
I have however moved house and the reason for moving was to gain more space for cars. I now have lots of space but the buildings are in need of restoration as well as the cars so dont expect quick progress.
The 911 has been in a lock-up until yesterday, so now the flock are safe at home in the workshop.

I also found my toolkit I didnt know I had one, could anyone tell me if its complete?

Also, what are the plastic square things with the jack ???

Looks like you are missing a pair of pliers and a fuse pack. I know someone who has both
Can you post a pic of the spark plug and screwdriver out of their pockets just to see what you have?
Remind me again when your car was built?
Are they 'drop forged' spanners or 'selected special steel'?


Kit looks as good as the car.

Mike, the car is a 73, I have found a fuse pack but no pliers to be found (tell me more about pliers ).
Here is a pick of the other bits out of the sleeve, the spanners are selected special steel.


No LeMans this year but one day..........................

Looks like you have a totally correct and very nice toolkit if your spanners are marked 'selected special steel' with the exception of your missing pliers. Your plug spanner with the tapered knurled top and the double ended screwdriver are spot on for late 73. I did think you should have a tool bag with the tied strings but you seem to have one with the pop fasteners. Anything is possible though.
Here are the pliers you need. If you can't find them I have a spare set.

I stripped the front brakes this afternoon, I was only going to take the pads out to make it easier to move but got carried away.
Looking at the pistons it would seem that they are not too clever, from memory re-chroming is an art and probably best avoided so new pistons are in order. I will strip the rear but suspect similar results.
Any advice on brake part suppliers would be great.
