Durrant Mirror Glass Replacement

Post by shandrc »

Hi folks,
My original Durrant Mirror glass is a bit speckily and could be doing with a change.
Does anyone know of anyone that can replace the glass as I would like to keep the original mirror housing?
Many Thanks

Very thin blade knife or a jewellers screwdriver to gently pry the plastic ring out and then just take the mirror to a glass shop and get a new one cut.

Just go slow on the ring..

Did mine years ago when I clipped the mirror on the garage door frame..

Had new mirror cut at a local glass shop and prised the insert out oh so gently and it all snapped back in place. Slow and easy does it.

Had two cut while I was there...

Many thanks for the replies. It is in pretty solid. thought the screwdriver was going to snap. Will maybe try some heat on the seal see if it softens a bit.
