That '220 is round here and I had a look over it when the dealer wanted to sell me a 3.2. If it's what it purports to be it's important and unique. Lord knows if it's half a big one, but why not?

i drove one of the early XJ220 racing prototypes (xj220r? ) up and down the driveway at bloxham when i was working for TWR.. awesome car, but i'm not sure i'd part with that much wedge to own a non-production one (not that its a choice i need to make right now )

we were playing with XJR15's at the time, and i always thought that was the prettier car, and better all around.. there was some argument/rift caused by twr developing it and offering it for sale at the same time as jag were doing the xj220, hence it never really went anywhere (also it was about a million quid new )

oselli have one for sale at the moment, and it looks a lot better value than the red xj220 on ebay, although the advert is confusing.. ..is it 350k or 275?! (either way, i can't afford it)

Either way, I passed one of these on a motorway many years ago and it just looked ludicrously huge.
Original purchasers were promised a V12 when deposits were taken. From memory I think it was Elton John who
refused to take delivery because the production engine was a V6
I know it's not exactly comparing like for like but that asking price would buy you this

yep, they were (are) massive cars.. the mac f1 by comparison was pretty compact and small
