The 'Maverick' Classic Porsche Forum and Classic Porsche Club for Porsche 356, Aircooled Porsche 911, Porsche 912, Porsche 914 & Porsche Replicas. 'We join for the cars but stay for the people'
Hi all, i have found all i have needed to finish my 1970 911e on this web site, It has helped very much. origional colour and matching numbers imported from America in late 70's and now up for sale as i have the bug and want to restore another.
smallspeed wrote:i know its probably not standard but gold PORSCHE and 911E lettering on the rear would be a great contrast.. looks like a cracking car
Thanks for your coments, is it not meant to have just the centre "S" in Gold? and yes chuffed to bits with the finish.
would like to thank the following for their help
Wayne Premier coach works Norwich i owe you a rear grill!!
Brian Daniels Blakeney Garage Norfolk ( top man who has a wealth of knowledge on porsche cars)
Shaun for painting the car
Mick for rebilding the engine and all the other bits!!
Lovely car. I have always liked burgundy on the early narrow bodied shape. Very period.
Yes I think gold letters/badging would have been correct on this car and of course the horn grilles and lights are incorrect but they do contrast nicely with the paint. The devil's in the details! It will just make your next one even better!
Good luck with the sale. I am sure it will bring someone a lot of pleasure.
Regards
Mike
