The left-hand drive 2.0-litre example on sale was manufactured in 1972 and first registered in Italy. Finished in its original colour of Azure Blue complemented by Black trim, the car comes complete with an MOT into March 2012 and condition assessment by the ASI. The vendor currently regards the bodywork, trim, engine and transmission as "good" and notes that the otherwise smart looking paintwork "has a little rust on the right-hand door". A seemingly nice example of a model that is appreciating in both interest and value.

The sale car is a left-hand drive 911 2.4 T that was built for the Italian market in 1973 and imported to the UK in 1997, at which time the odometer read 44,000 kilometers. Originally finished in Sepia Brown, it was resprayed in Light Ivory in 2006. At the same time the interior was fully refurbished in Black and the front seats replaced with the later high backed type (a full set of Dark Tan interior trim is available by separate negotiation, together with the original front and rear seats). The engine (which benefits from a stronger magnesium Carrera 7R casing) and transmission were overhauled in 2007 by Mark Waring, when the odometer was reading 90,000 kilometers (it now stands at 100,000 kilometers). The vendor considers this charming Porsche to have matching numbers and be bodily sound (though the sills have been replaced, the car still has its original oil tank, an item that soon succumbs on rusty versions). The car comes complete with all MOTs and history from when it arrived in the UK, plus a valid MOT into May 2012. A thoroughly usable 911 in subtly enhanced 911T specification - the model from which the mighty, limited edition STs were developed. Food for thought?

I went to the "viewing" day for the H&H auction today -I thought the 914 was (very) rough round the edges with plenty of rust bubbling through the area below the windscreen, top of doors etc. Didn't look like it had been painted particularly well.

The white 911 T , I thought was a great car - in fact my favourite of everything that was on show - seemed well presented, interior redone with later seats - in fact made me think of keeping mine and having it done to a similar spec' - the ex Teddy Yip 911 S was absolutely immaculate but so it should be at an estimate of ( as far as I can remember) £120,000 - or 90 grand more than the T !

A good day out , the event's at the Duxford air museum so we even managed a walk around Concorde !

That all depends on what country the winning bidder is from! Prices in the U.K. can be a bit lower than on mainland Europe!



The car is not outstanding; described buy the seller as:

Described as ‘Good’, so not as good as ‘Very good’ or ‘Excellent’

When looking at the photo of the interior, noted that the hazarded light switch has been removed along with the spot light switch.
Dash facial is trimmed in 75-76 basket weave material, on right-hand side of steering column a toggle switch has been added!
