40 years of 912

Post by Helen »

we need to start thinking about how we are going to celebrate this event next year.

i know a certain director of the PCGB who wants to organise an event but as most of the owners arn't members of the PCGB and/or their cars are not excepted by them,i can't really see this event getting our support.
i know i would think twice about it.

if theirs going to be a 912 event i feel it should include all 912 original, modefied, imported, whatever.

what do you all feel???

groovy!

hopefully my engine will be back in my 912E with everything working tickety boo, should be getting back from the engine builder in a week or two. Then get the exhaust built, then sort the carbs out, then figure out what electrics for the injection are defunct.

What time of year is this event possibly going to be?

I'm not a PCGB member, but I'd like to take part in an even tof this nature

Sounds good to me.

How about a weekend event somewhere in the middle of the UK - some driving and light hearted games - like the 914 international events?

Would certainly bring my car along.
1966 912 Karmann Coupe - polo red.
1972 914/6 GT replica - 2.7 - signal orange.
1961 Standard 217 Tractor.
2003 Boxster S.
1967 Alfa Giulia Sprint GT Veloce.

Sounds good, although in fairness to PCGB (or more specifically Gavin, who I'm guessing would be the main man with anything 912 celebration related) I'd be happy to go along to their event whatever it turns out to be. As much as a thanks to Gav for putting together the excellent register site and answering my entirely basic questions on a regular basis. It's a pretty big landmark though so the more events the merrier!

p.s. glad to see you've caught the 912 bug so quickly Helen!
