914 6 conversion

Post by Bruce M »

I like this a lot so what am I missing?

914 with '68 2.0 'S' engine on MFI
Converted using Patrick Motorsports parts.
'S' alloy calipers, nice suspension, fresh paint.

The 14" fuchs don't work for me and the photos are very poor.

Money seems fair to me.

This car was advertised not so long ago on DDK, then withdrawn from sale!

Looks like Michael is now selling!

I think this is a bargain - it is a sound car too.
1966 912 Karmann Coupe - polo red.
1972 914/6 GT replica - 2.7 - signal orange.
1961 Standard 217 Tractor.
2003 Boxster S.
1967 Alfa Giulia Sprint GT Veloce.

The car is mine. Pictures are indeed poor. Sorry! That said Mike K and Maurice P have just taken a stack of photos of the car. As Ian says it's a sound car, properly converted, with a good body. Anyone who wants me to email the pictures to them please get in touch.

Kev - not sure what your comment is about- it's a reluctant sale. I was going to sell it to Maurice but then withdrew it because I thought I had found a way of keeping it. Sadly, that has not proved the case- therefore it's now for sale on PH. There is nothing wrong with the car as your comment seems to suggest!

Regards

Hi Michael :)

It does seem to be a nice car and would be tough to replicate for the same money. I think, with a bit of effort it should be an easy sell, based on your description. I would encourage you to put together a set of informative photos for the advert . That way you stand a better chance of getting a buyer rather than a chancer.

I don't think Kev meant anything negative with his comment just an observation on your changing situation. I guess having owned the car for reasonable time you are not enjoying the selling process.

Good luck with the sale.

I didn't read Kev's comment to mean that at all.

Looks like a lovely car.

Michael

I emailed you a few questions about the car via Pistonheads a few days ago. I guess they didn't get through to you? I assumed it was sold already so didn't follow it up. If you can't find the contact details let me know and I will ask again through here.
Thanks
Regards
Mike

Hi Mike,

Not sure I picked up your email. Sorry. I have a full set of pictures. If you email me at michael_hafen @wragge.com I will respond tomorrow with the pictures and some pdf files attaching relevant documents. It is still for sale although I have a couple of guys coming over from Germany at the end of the month.

Maybe Maurice P might load up a couple of pictures onto DDK- I cannot work out how you do it.

Regards

Hi Bruce,

On reflection, I may have misread Kev's comment. Sorry Kev. It is a really reluctant sale. I have had the car since 94 and never wanted to sell it. A young family (twins) and need for a bigger house etc means I have to sell. Am gutted. Car is part of me. Left with a skoda estae- what has happened

:)

Regards

I think Michael may have changed his mind about selling again - I sent a pm last week requesting photos & haven't had any response ...

Some photos have been added to the advert on DDK http://www.ddk-online.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=35230

The 914 looks stunning, a lot of work has been done to this car over the years.

Try contacting Michael on the telephone number on the PistonHeads advert. http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/2917928.htm

Just to say, a rear valance will be fitted to the rear. It is missing in the photographs.

Thanks
