Originally a Californian car sold by Porsche/Vw dealer “Competition Motors” Hollywood
The car was delivered to Clint DeWitt of Sacramento California.
Mr DeWitt was a member of the Sports Car Club of America and it “may” have been used in competition
The car was sold out of Hollywood in 2003, so it is assumed that is was a Californian car all it’s life
The car is in great shape in silver with black interior.
In the file of receipts I found an invoice dated 2004 for a bare metal repaint and a previous sales write up states that the car had a new interior in 2001.
We have looked after the car since 2006 when the car arrived for a top end rebuild.
Since then we have serviced the car and repaired anything that needed attention, so the car could be used daily
The car is not perfect but dame close and has real character with some period gauges and wood rim steering. It goes really well and is a pleasure to drive.
We are currently waiting for the birth certificate from Porsche to work out if the car is matching numbers. The engine falls within the correct period, so I’m 99% sure it is but until I have the piece of paper in my hand, I can’t say. The car still has all the super90 camber compensator fitted and I’m sure that you can work out how rare a Super90 is.
