Thanks to both, my eyes are still stinging and my lungs are struggling to function this morning. This was despite having both doors open for an hour after starting it for 10 seconds!

Any more updates on the RSR Mike?

It drives!

Well out of my garage and around the close anyway. A lack of brakes and MOT prevent further exploration! It has all the gears, the reversing lights now work, and hopefully the next brake bleed will actually get the air out now it's been sitting a few days.

It even sat there and idled cleanly with no set up or adjustment whatsoever on the carbs, so that is promising. 8)

Luckily the rear ride height appears to have come back to the same place, although I'll have to drive it a but further before I can really confirm that.

So a little more fettling, side trim rivetted back on and all ready for Friday morning MOT 8)

Brilliant :)
There is no better feeling than driving it after a lay up.
Good luck with the brakes and MOT

...apart from when the pedal went to the floor!

Luckily I'd adjusted the handbrake :)

Thanks Tim, Hopefully it will go well.

Absolutely! All booked. Hence my mission to sort every single job on this car and get some miles under it's wheels.

Doesn't look too far when you print it out really small...

I know those mountains well at 'H' as i worked there on and off in the late 80's.
You must be going to the French Car museum in Colmar?

Used to thrash (trash?) Renault 5's from Strasburg to St Die every week.

That trip really will be ace.

It is done! MOT 8:00am tomorrow.

Six months of dormancy and plenty of angle grinder usage had taken it's toll on the shine so it desperately needed a wash.

It's going on the Hunter at work next week to make the wheels point in the right direction (assuming it gets a ticket in the morning), but it will do for now!

Nope! Never heard of it :) The detour near Strasbourg is to Molsheim if I can get a tour arranged.
