Bootlid and bonnet stay

Post by bonerp »

Folks what have you done with regards to supporting the lids?
Would like to fit hydraulic items but can't find anything suitable.
cheers

The only problem i can see with fitting hydraulic stays is that you would prob flex the panels when trying to close.

I have seen many golfs with bent bonnets that have had these fitted to and thats a metal bonnet!!

I've fitted a hydraulic one on my bonnet it's fine no flexing and you can open and close with one hand. I got a MG one well two one each side fitted them to the back edge by the hinges and to the floor of the boot next to the petrol tank.
