its way too big even for my fat wrists

Vic's seemed to fit quite snugly last time I noticed

i think being square exagerates the size.. even though i wear quite big watches anyway, the br03 i did a swap with for a night a while ago (a mate wanted to try my watch out) seemed huge; i think its just the corners which are different and take some getting used to

Fat wrists here.................B&R are appalling for parts and cannot spell service ,,,,,,,,,,,,,i still own a titanium space 3 , but frankly gave up with ltd edition orange job .......black came off every time i wore , perhaps as it was so big it got knocked more ?Even the titanium finish on Space 3 scratches very badly

if u see how many different firms have ceased to stock them after 'trial' periods maybe that says it all .........................while IMO superior to things like U Boat their prices are a bit lumpy for just a 'fun' watch

Very happy with ALL my Porsche watches,while of no particular financial value , from the first and original black chrono from Orfina through the first titanium from IWC parts and service available and the 30 year old anodised finish is just fine, titanium unmarked nearly as old and the black titanium Eterna like new but worn daily, sorry just dont find B&R anything like as good !
Used to buy one every time i sold a decent 911 to cheer myself up !

if you like the functional look then B&R have a great looking range of watches, esp if you like playing dress up as a pilot

my friend with the BR03 has had the AR re-done by a guy I use in the states as it was so soft (and not very AR) that it wore off pretty quick. Now double-sided and much better; crystal is almost invisible. He's also had a guy in london re-do the DLC finish as it got scratched up quickly; its now rock 'ard! to be honest, now the case finish and AR is fixed its a pretty solid piece, and the movement is stock ETA so servicing it is no problem. just stings a bit spending £250 having a £2k watch brought up to standard.

I've heard the newer B&R's are much better finished now than they were but at £2k i can't help thinking i'd rather have something a bit timeless like a GMT Master or a Speedmaster

serious comment for what i paid for the orange monster , i actually had to search for it new i wud have hoped for a good few years 'sensible' use b4 i had to reanodise what ever..................the Space 3 is frankly appalling id wanted ad a y to day watch that looks chunky fine but is in fact softer than butter ............the B&R attitude is frankly summed up as NFI u bought it get on with it ! After 2 years it was /is impossible to purchase an original simple rubber strap........do they care ?

I don`t venture in horologists corner very often but this watch appeared over on the 356 registry this eve and I`m intrigued.



Motochron... searching did show it`s been mentioned here before... but not on which of the 59 pages.

Googling suggests these watches are expensive, are they very exclusive ?

The weird and the wonderful, never seen nothing like it. I`m thinking that prehaps a Star Wars Pod Racer Turbine is the one to have.

They used to be marketed by TAG books - nothing to do with TAG Heuer but Georg Konradsheim's (co-author of the "Carrera RS" book) company.

I'm not often on this thread but since it has come up I was able to acquire (through a very kind DDKer) a Motochron RS 300kph watch. Apparently 1580 were made.

Along with the RS book I am now looking to swop this watch for the one with serial number 1551 on book and watch.

Am I taking this whole thing too far?

Been busy

Just acquired this very nice Autaiva 2446C with the legendary Valjoux 72 movement ( as used in early Rolex Daytonas )



And have this early 'Siffert' on the way which needs a little refinishing but very original
