Hello. Warren here. New to classic porsche (potential) ownership but have had a modern one before.
I've just started searching and I'm looking (in a perfect world) for a 1972 2.4e. Ideally RHD and matching numbers. Doesn't have to be mint but the potential to get there eventually. I'd consider an S too if the price was right
Happy to wait for the right one but cash in bank if it comes tomorrow.
Hi Warren and welcome to DDK. I'm sure someone here will be able to point you towards a good car. This RHD 72E with an S motor may be of interest, but it will need a FULL restoration
73 'model' cars can be tax free too if manufactured before 1st Jan 73 ( which maybe 50% of them were ?) . 1973 Model year cars began manufacture in Aug / Sept 1972 following the Porsche factory's summer shutdown ( this happened with each model year , for example some 1972 model cars were manufactured in 1971 )

That is supposed to be pre-66, but they do let the odd rogue in.
From my chat with Warren I think he is prepared to consider any early 911, even SWB and LHD, so keep the ideas coming.

No problem in an early 911. I'm 6' 3" and a little bit more and I fit fine. I can even wear a helmet in the car with no problems (with sport seats which may be slightly lower than standard ones).
Don't buy a LHD one, they're for Europeans and Americans, you'll find most people drive on the other side of the road in the UK.
