Matching number 1971 911 T Lightweight

This lovely classic 911 is a matching number, UK 1971 911 T with just 5 registered keepers from new.

It was comprehensively nut-and-bolt restored and taken over to lightweight spec by the owner of a coachworks for his own use and is in exceptional order throughout, having covered just 13,000 miles since.

The engine, gearbox, steering and suspension were rebuilt to original spec.
The interior was given lightweight carpets and door cards and period style bucket seats.
The shell was taken to bare metal and painted in period Porsche Light Yellow. Wide RS rear arches are fitted to accommodate genuine restored 8” Fuch wheels, as is an S style front bumper. These combine with the period decals to give the car its striking early competition look.

Very few Ts receive such comprehensive restorations as this and had it been done at retail prices we don’t doubt that the cost would have well exceeded the current price of the car. The detail level is very high indeed.

It drives brilliantly, aided by the wider track given by the 7" front and 8" rear Fuchs, and doesn’t require you to learn to drive around any foibles like many classic examples do.

It would make a fine road car or a great show piece. Alternatively its matching number status would make it an enjoyable entry into classic motorsport.
