Hi again,
my '68 porsche 911 needs a complete repaint, the car is already wearing about 3 different colours from previous poor paint jobs. I want the car taken down to bare metal and then repainted in either a ossi blue or a light blue. The car seems to be solid but you never know, i have been quoted £2,800 est. for a complete repaint and waxyoiled underneath. This seems quite cheap but the company give a warranty on the job. Any thoughts/advice would be welcomed.
Cheers, Ratty.

Previous answers to this question have ranged from £1000 to £30000...
£2800 seems cheap, but if they have made no allowance for repairing/preparing anything found under the paint then expect this to rise significantly.
I had one side of my car painted for just under a £1000, and it was a good job with plenty of surface prep, and from an Audi main dealer bodyshop.
You should also add in the cost of new window rubbers and headlining if you are doing it properly, i.e glass out.
Have fun
