If it sticks at current ballpark, then a bit of a steal ! Engine and panels alone must be worth a bid (IMHO)

I was bidding but have now been out bid on this and as a newcomer to restoration projects I am becoming more comfortable with that position with every post I read!
If I am being honest with myself every response I had with the seller was on a need to know basis.
Having said that a 911S RHD with a sunroof was exactly the spec I was after!

He obviously thinks declaring it sorn, he can retain the Reg. Might be on retention for 14 years.

Possibly, but it would have no basis in law as the number is owned by the DVLA, not the owner of the car, who effectively "leases" it.

What's it worth? Probably less than the final bid

If it's 9920 TB then it's an ireland plate isn't it? It's not worth that much. If it's 992 OTB then even less.
