Isn't that (the late  ) David Gilhooley's car ?

Bob

Is that a standard engine - just nicely setup :-)

Reminds me to get my 2.7 Carrera engine on there, as Francis confirmed all leakdown and compression tests were spot on, so I will arrange to pop down.

Hi,

It is indeed David Gilhooley's old car. I saw it there a few weeks ago.

Nice footage BTW.

Holy cr*p Bob I dropped mine round to you a couple of years ago, left it with you for adjustment and dyno run, if I'd have known you were going to thrash it to death I wouldn't have bothered.... ho ho!!!

Well actually you did a brilliant job and it came out at 226 with incredible economy :) :) :)

As for Dave Gilhooly, one of the nicest chaps that ever drove an RS. Always helpful, never a bad word to say about cars or people...

I think he's purely commenting that when you watch a video of a dyno run you naturally feel the car is being put through it's paces (with a hint of sarcasm. But of course, this is qualified by being please with the result.

Don't worry Bob, just tongue in cheek, we all know that a car sounds like it's being thrashed when it's on a rolling road because we never ever get to hear it all wrapped up inside and leaving the sound behind. Just comes as a bit of a shock when you hear it.

Was really pleased with the setup and dyno runs you did on my car, which is why I bought my little burgundy 2.2 to you for similar treatment. Many thanks for the good work you did...
