Looks rough to me.

The photo of the paint number plate alone is enough for me to not even look any further!

Something not right here either. Impression is that the oil tank does not match the body. Where is the exterior oil flap? It also has a later accelerator pedal and through the grill lights without correct grilles to match. Aftermarket front RS spoiler, missing rear slam panel rubber etc etc.

Needs careful checking I would say

Mike, doesn't have an exterior oil filler as it's a late 2.2, not a 2.4.
Agree with you on the other bits, but have seen the car in the flesh a couple of years ago, and it was nice.
In my opinion a touch pricey for a T in this climate.

Even more interesting then if it advertised correctly as a 72 (registered) car. Either it's a 71 or it wasn't registered for 5 months after production of 2.2 models ceased (reason?).

The orange car has changed hand two or three times in the last 4 1/2 years or so.Was sold by a DDKer called Jessica in Jan 2006, then Classic 911 a couple of years later. The price has doubled in that time.

I inspected that car in 2005. At the time it looked good but had been restored on top but not underneath. Gearbox needed work too.
I know it's had more money thrown at it since so it could be worth a look. It's a genuine UK RHD car and I recall it had loads of paperwork going way back.

I sold PBP 537K about 3 years ago. It was an absolute peach ( tangerine to be more precise ) - drove beautifully and was very solid. Car was a 2.2 T and had a very interesting history and was a lovely original honest car.
Unfortunately after I sold the car, it soon took a nasty bang and I believe it was written off and did end up at Douglas valley. It seems to have gained some fog / driving lights and wider rear wheels. I would have hoped that any HPI report would highlight the crash to any prospective buyer.
