Looks like a decent project base to me... bolt some beetle mechanicals under it and it could be a blast. Cheap enough...

Needs treating as a fun car and not a resto i reckon. Lots of cheap, solid, flat sheet steel repairs to the chassis and floor pan, some creative thinking for the interior (no headlining or gauges, bomber seats, stripped to painted steel...) and a decent donor vdub for the greasy bits. Fun

I'm seriously considering that sunroof section for my bag of bolts...
