by passing alarm / imobiliser

thought I better put this question in members section. It's some info I'd like to carry with me as I have a deep down loathing / mis-trust of car alarms.

so hypothetically speaking .... if you had a car alarm / imobiliser fitted to your car and wanted to know how to by-pass it just in case it became problamatic, using the wiring diagram in the link below, which wires would you need to remove / re-attach with each other ?

Ahh, good question: I've got one in the BM (dealer rather than factory fit), and one in the CAppo (after-market), neither work but both have the potential to mess things up as they are still wired in.

NB, both cars have central locking, BM manual / key only, Cappo's doesn't work.

Would like to remove both, Cappo especially, as it now represents a significant proportion of it's remaining weight .

Is it impossible without a diagram?

You need to reconnect the wires that are marked "cut" on the wiring diagram on page 5. So at the 9 pin connector join pins 3 &6 and also pins 2&5.

i had problems with my 911T sporto. when we were on the DDK trip to scotland. Mick Bainbridge(a true star) managed to over ride it so i could get home and then impmad came around one afternoon and ripped the whole lot out for me
