These Stupid Ali Window Trims

Ok I am now at the phase of throwing them across the floor and stamping on them -these Ali trims have beaten me.
Would a new set be supplied pre bent? Or will I have to try and go through the whole thing again?
Its not so much the shape, but the actual twist in the ali is just too much for the rubber to clamp onto once I try to put the assembly in the window frame.

Can I swap the Ali trim with rubber versions?
Anyone sell it?

Go on throw them across the floor and stamp on them, sure will make you feel better, just don't forget to order new ones.

Jump on them!!

I ordered a new set from Roger Bray (a couple of years ago now) they were pre bent and went in fine - with a little massaging.

Had mine polished to take out some marks and they came back pre-bent - just not in the exact same shape as they went

Tried to get them back to the profile of the screen last night - hopefully going in Wednesday but will report back Dan as I suspect they will be sensitive to any deviant bend

i have had my front screen in and out enough times to speak with a degree of confidence - or at least to say what worked for my car anyway.

the easiest way is to buy new genuine rubbers, and new repro trims - first time fit with no hassle !

and after all previous attempts, various rubbers, trim straightening etc this is the route for people who dont enjoy hours of pain and torture.

forget applying anything silicone or slippery to the trims - it just makes them pop out easier - and be carefull when cutting the trim to size - i did it when fitted and that way you can get a good central join without the fiddly guesswork.

after hours of struggling with the old stuff the repro trims will make you smile again.

PRS do a good deal on the bits
