road angel 2s- any good???
Any one got one? and think its a worth while investment?
not going to go into why I'm asking but you can kind of guess, glad my council tax rise is assisting the local constabulary, by helping them purchase a mobile laser.

I use a roadangel MK1
IMHO they are a superb bit of kit. They really come into their own if you do a lot of travelling around the country, and even if you know where cameras are, it can be a good reminder if you happen to be day dreaming while travelling at speed on the A1
Because I live in the country & spend most of my time driving between farms I don't use it on a day to day basis (no fixed cameras in North Yorkshire
)
A note about gun detector bit, & this applies to all gun detectors, if the warning for handheld guns goes off it is probo too late as he will have already got you, only exceptions will be if you pick up some scatter from the car in front getting caught.

Here's the my research on lasers-
basically if they are set to always on then they will get you- basically they are targetting your headlights and windscreen and if they have line of sight they will get you, unless you have an incedibly cheeky bit if kit from the USA that makes the lase look somewhere else other than you!!!!
the blurb on the road angel 2 reckons that it can pick out laser at 2 miles so getting a 2mile + line of sight may be tricky.
my story was country road, in the family car with the family in it, going on a half mile strectch of straight road that goes from 60 down to 40, going to appeal as the 40 signs on both sides of the road were completely overgrown with a tree on one side and a bush on the other so there was no way of telling.

went there yesterday evening with the camera, unfortunately the flash kept illuminating the signs behind the bushes, couldn't work out how to turn it off so a bit of tape sufficed.
Also took some interesting measurements regarding relative positions, and also that he was quoting me in yards but wrote it up in metres, which given the distances involved will make a difference.
Plus I have yet to put my request in for a copy of the tape from his car, I don't think he made me stand where I did just for a laugh.
PS - I'm not going down the route of clambering through people's bushes, unruly or otherwise.
