Its actually an MB2 but was specified at build to have the MB1 second hand and outer ring in yellow from the MB1.
I've seen one MB1 before on the market I 'think' but never an MB2.

Apart from describing the size ,it is amazingly readable , important at my age and great to use when size matters, maybe whizzing around atrack ..........timekeeping superb

had a look at the gold seamaster posted here last night.. its a bit of a weird one; as someone said its not a gen strap, and no engraving on the caseback is not a good sign. did compare to a couple of other watches though and the dial looks very good; indicies, hands, etc., all look "right", and the case certainly has a correct aged look.. ..i think the proof is going to be IN the pudding; get the case back off and lets have a look at the engine

ps.. BR01-92 was one of my dream watches, but i've really started to like the look of the BR02's now.. slightly different take on the dive watch and also very simple and readable. got a long way to leapfrog to the top of my "want list" though

Well it arrived today, and to say I'm chuffed just isn't enough!
I've loved the look of the MB2 ever since I read about it and after trying on a couple I knew I would have to buy one, just didn't think a second hand one would come up for sale so quickly after they'd been launched.
Thanks for everything Jason!

Your welcome mate - glad you like it.
So who wants.....
A vintage 1969 Omega Speedmaster Mk2 rare exotic dial?
An Omega Speedmaster mk4 with interesting test pilot provenance?
Or my Heuer 'McQueen' Monaco???
Come on they are all beauties and i'm supposed to be reducing the collection but have already bought 2 more this week
