but it is an absolute beauty. They are hard to find in all original condition and full package.
I struck big time lucky a couple of years ago...I got an all original mint full package with all papers and the original sales receipt....dated the day I was born!!! What are the odds???
It was 40% of the cost of this though.
There is no doubt this will sell though - a collector somewhere will buy it.

I've sold my Blue Monaco as featured on the last page of this thread.
It left a gap in the watch box so it's been filled with this little late 60s Camaro. They bridge the gap from the 60s to the 70s Heuer stuff and not the most common of the Heuers.
This one is in nice condition with a nicely aged original hand set.
that camaro is gorgeous
don't take offence (just covering my back ) but the shape of the case reminds me of the Panerai Radiomir and also the ferrari range of watches Panerai built.. ..it looks absolutely fantastic with the retro dials hands and general design of the watch-face

Cheers, since the picture was taken I've detailed and polished the case a little and it's come up really nicely. It's now on a brown leather strap with Heuer buckle which suits it well.
I'd never seen one in the flesh before I got hold of it. They wear really well but aren't as big as you'd think, well, not as big as a Panny!

There's just too many that I want and the last thing I need is to start another collection. I thought 3 months was pretty fast, took me 6 years to buy my last 356!

I was just wondering if the good people of DDK could shed any light on this watch for me. I was looking in my draw the other day and found this. It was my grandfather’s watch and the watch was given to him by his brother who was Harold Charnley. Harold was the very last Commodore of the Union Castle line. The ships sailed from Southampton to South Africa. My grandfather always said that it was a copy I think it probably is. Any ideas?

Doesn;t look like a copy to me. Although the strap is not original. If you can pop the back off and take a pic of the movement I'm sure somebody can help further to confirm what it is.
My curiosity is running very high right now!
