This is a very nice early 911 E that has a well-documented 3-owner history. It was originally sold from Bob Hagestad Porsche Audi in Denver Colorado in September of 1973. The car then went to its second owner who had the car from 1975 to 1977. The third owner had the car until last year. The third owner only drove 29,000 on the car over the next 32 years. In 1989, the third owner (who worked in a body shop), had the car stripped down to the bare metal, prepped, and painted the original color.

The paintwork is excellent and looks very fresh. Outside of a couple tiny rock chips and very minor stone pits on the front bumper, it is hard to believe that this paint job is 20 years old. There is no indication of the engine or transmission ever being rebuilt. However, it was obviously well cared for due to how well it runs. We just had a leak down on the motor, which showed: 86%, 88%, 88%, 90%, 90%, and 92%. These numbers are off of 100% being perfect. Usually, a freshly rebuilt motor is at 95%-97% range. When the leak down was performed the spark plugs were clean and dry. The engine does not smoke and runs strong. The transmission shifts properly as well.

There is absolutely no rust in the car other than some very minor surface rust on the steering rack cover and on the floor pan where there are minor scrapes.

The interior is in very good condition as well. The carpets, seats, and front trunk are all original and excellent condition. The door pockets are in great condition and original as well. All the gauges (including the clock) appear to function properly. The dash is a factory replacement dash and has no cracks or warping. The headliner is in very good condition as well with just a couple minor wrinkles on the sunroof panel. It too appears to be original. All electrical systems (including the sunroof) work properly.

Recently, 5 new Vredestein tires were installed on the 6x15 deep six wheels. These wheels are date stamped 1969 with hearts…very rare wheels. We do not have the original ’73 wheels. Also, a front-end alignment was performed when the tires were installed.

The car is an original sunroof car and was ordered with a factory rear sway bar, which is still in place. The sport seats are factory original and were installed by the 2nd owner.

Included with the car are the original tool kit (missing screw drivers), jack, original owner’s manual, bill of sale, and maintenance records dating back to day one.
