Hi all, what colour should S90 valve covers be?

Silver? mine are black. What's the best method of restoration?
Avoiding local so-called self proclaimed specialists.

I hope nobody on this site has chromed tin. Nasty looking beetle mod and not good for heat . I have seen S90 pics on line and some are the correct black heads with silver covers.

I know that the Meastro has them Cad plated
