original Porsche 356 by Lawrence Meredith
My step Dad has the meredith VW beetle book which is a lovely thing, lush photos, so I thought I would pick up Meredith's 356 book on amazon hoping it would be as nice..but its hundreds of pounds.
Motorbooks dont list it..

It must be out of print. There's a copy on ebay for £30 if you really want it.
However there are a few mistakes in it. The Gmund Coupe photographed in the book isn't one!

Johnny,
If you want another book with a lot of pictures of owner restored cars then its OK but personally I would not pay more than a tenner for it and I have a car in it
Hendrik is correct - there are also too many mistakes

Thanks guys, I'd missed that one on ebay, thanks Hendrik. Just had a 'look inside' at amazon and it doesnt look as good as the vw book. Is Brett Johnsons book a better bet?
Cheers, Johnny

Yes Brett's book is 100% better and more accurate, although it has it's own flaws and the pictures aren't always the best.
It's more of a book to refer to rather than one to read.
