Hello
I own a 1971 911S Targa. The car was restored by myself between 1986 and 1990 and has been going strong eversince. The car according to Porsche was registered in Germany in 1971 and from my checks has matching numbers. Options list included recaro leather seats, auxillary heater.
I carried out the rebuild on the engine, gearbox and all mechanical parts myself. At the same time I subcontracted work to a garage to change inner and outer sills, door check plates , carry out any welding necessary and carry out a bare metal respray. All suspension and relevant engine parts were stove enameled by myself during the process. Interestingly the original front wing mounted oil radiator has survived in excellent condition. I changed the colour of the car during the rebuild from light metallic blue to Porsche Meteor grey; maybe I should not have done this but I like the colour.
I cant think of anything else at this introduction message. Hopefully, there are other folks who would like either more information or who have questions I can help them with.

Welcome Mr JJ.
Hope you find this place as interesting and useful as we have discussed over the phone. That makes you(Fly71), me (210bhp), and Dougie (Brembo) the only members in S.W. Scotland.
I know this car well and it is superb. Just when you thought there couldn't be another top quality S out there DDK doesn't know about, another one pops up. In fact I have know about this car since J. first brought it to the Culzean Classic Car show (now Autoclassica) maybe 10 years ago.
Once you have mastered the art of posting pictures J., I am sure everyone on here would love to see it.
All the best
Regards
Mike
