Scissor lift group buy...UPDATE 48 Hour Opportunity...
Following my hugely successful foray in the coco-mat group buy (!), I am looking at a more ambitious project. This is the import of scissor lifts from China! The background is that the L7 club successfully imported a load of quick lift jacks from a Mr Ma in china.
With the help of the guy who did that I am looking at scissor lifts for the 7 club and here (and anywhere else with people I can trust).
I have posted the details in the link below.

Just to explain that it is slightly sub-optimal for caterhams as there is not enough ground clearance so pads or low ramps are needed. It is fine for 911s.
There is quite a lot of work to do this, so I am looking to see if there is any interest before embarking on it! It will be much cheaper than UK-sourced lifts although will take quite a few months to accomplish.
Please register interest and/or questions here. Def no committment at this stage, but I will need 10 or 20 to make it sensible.

Who is DDK QA ?
Tim
More than happy to cast an engineering eye over it, but as a lifting device it is required to be tested and if requested a certificate of conformity should be supplied. It may be in Chinese though.........

Things have changed a bit. We haven't got enough interest to get the 20 we need to do a direct import. However we have negotiated a deal with a UK supplier see...
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/CAR-LIFT-MID-RISE ... 4cec01bc6e
He is putting his price up tomorrow which is why his listing has closed. We have got the opportunity to buy (min 5, max 8 ) from him at a price of 1250 delivered. He'll hold that price for us for 48 hours from this morning.
Can anyone who is (seriously) interested in this price please let me know ASAP and let me have their email address.
ETA this is a higher spec lift than we were looking at with double hydraulic rams. It's the closest we could find to what we were planning to import.
Thanks
