I have no problem with them using the car (Free Advertising)
BUT
I do wish they had got all the details correct

We fired up the New Le Mans Motor yesterday - Will it make more power ?

We will find out on Tuesday - Rolling Road Day

Cor, good to see the car gets worked on in a posh garage with en-suite his and her Loos.

The Jim Clark Car

Post by Mike Smith »

Thanks for the good wishes

I wish I knew about the brakes - It is only racing that shows up the problems - you cannot replicate it at road speeds

Of course we have lost the asbestos in the linings since 1957 and the car is so much quicker than it was `in period` - remember also that it is NOT lightened - this is a FULL Weight Road Car - the way that Jim used to drive it

In 2006 it was a Rear Brake problem so we have played around with the brake balance a little bit and have New Rear Drums and Shoes
The Fronts are the same Set-up we used in 2006 - we are not even changing the linings

We will know more about the engine after tomorrows test but the enormous amounts of heat that it was producing on Saturday is leading us to fit a Front Mounted Oil Cooler - yet another job to try and fit in.
