Best insurance for 356 ?

Post by steve356 »

I'm sure this topic has been covered before as we all have to review/renew insurances each year .... apologies.

I've been out of touch for a while with this and last used Bain Clarkson for insurance who were ok, though I never had to test them with a claim.

Who's best out there these days ? ..... not only on cost, but on cover and performance in the event of a claim.

I've just flicked through the glossy ads in Porsche Post and recognise a few names ..... also I've heard that Hegarty(?) are now operating in the UK.

Any opinions or experiences ? ...... I'm all ears !

Not 356, but 911. Used to be insured with RH, had a claim paid up no probs. Renewal was getting more expensive so tried Hagerty (08700 420220), halved the premium!!! Also, they do track day cover, whereas RH don't. Very friendly, highly recommended, but can't give opinion on claims.

On Helen's recommendation I contacted Hagerty's for insurance on my 911 and apal speedster, and got them both covered for £246 - sweet.

Well, that's unanimous ....... I think I better give Hagerty a call as it seems to be a one horse race !!!

Anyone actually made a claim with them ? ..... how was the experience ?

Many thanks to all for your advice ...... much appreciated !
