Does a man need 2 Yellow Porsches?
The 40 year old yellow 914 is my 7th yellow car. Helen Goff wants it but Larry needed a new Merc, so now Helen is mad at her hubby because I have IMMACULATE RESURRECTION (my 1970 914) for sale. A Porsche has been in my garage since 1971. 911, Boxster, and 914. I have visited Zuffenhausen. Blessed with racing around the world, I have lots of pals in low places in the auto, moto, and engineering areas. Enjoyed the Barcelona MOTO GP a few weeks ago. Another vice is riding on 2-wheels. Since 1971, a motorcycle or 2 have always been in my garage. Last 2 decades BMW K models. Most recent being the K1200GT with 152 BHP. Married 41 years to my high school prom date, I am a lucky boy.

Hi Rob, nice to see you on DDK.
as you know i have a bit of a weakness for yellow Porsches myself having owned at least 3, and yes your right i would love your 914 as i know how much work has gone into getting this car in first class condition. but i just can't face the hassel and expense of importing it into the UK at this moment in time.
can't say i am too mad with Larry for buying the Merc C-class as it has got to be an improvment on the Vauxhall Signum hes currently driving. the fuel economy & power Merc are getting out of their new diesel engine is unbeatable.

40 year old IMMACULATE RESURRECTION 914 is an adorable time capsule example of early thought regarding mid-engine. Sitting beside my Boxster they are an interesting pair. Both yellow. Both mid-engine. DNA has an odd way of manifesting itself as time moves forward.964RS wrote:Yup you can never have too many Porsches....whatever the colours!

$13,100
The 1970 yellow 914 left the family for Wisconsin. The new proud owner flew to Cleveland where I met his flight. After a brief meeting at the bank, he drove over 600 miles home in the 40 year old 914 with a smile on his face. No problems.
