Only 8 weeks to to go

I will need to know exactly who is staying / eating Sat night so I can let the hotel know numbers etc .... so if you're not on the lists on page 1 let me know.

Further updates will be in the Members section.

Hi

Although I'm sure 40+ Porsches would be hard to miss, do you have the name of the Cafe you are finishing at and at what time approx?

I hopefully will drive up from York on the Sunday

Thx

I am going to have to drop out of C2C for this year, as in reality there is no way my car will be back on the road for then.

I have booked a room for the Friday and Saturday, so anyone that was not originally booked could take over my room - PM me.

Really disappointed, and thanks to James for organising, but it wouldn't be the same in the Alfa :-(

Hi James,

I'm afraid I can no longer attend as my crankshaft snapped on Saturday evening on the way home from The Fairmile BBQ.

The engine is now in the more than capable hands of one Mr. Andy Prill but I won't get it back in time.

I'm rather gutted as I've been really looking forward to this but I'm trying to look on the bright side...I'll have a great engine when I do get it back.

Have a great time and I look forward to the photos.
Anthony.

James, just to confirm, Antony Fraser and I will show up Friday evening and hang around till Sunday morning. We are booked in somewhere nearby for Friday night and I think reserved in a local B'n'B close to the action Saturday (I will have to check precise arrangements), so it would be good to be included in eating plans!
Cheers, Johnny

I don`t know whether it would fit into anybodies itinery for the coast to coast but there`s a splendid motor museum in Keswick. I went many years ago and it seems the collection has grown and grown, lots of TV cars and a good selection of James Bond mobiles.

Have a peruse...

Just found out that on 12 (and 13) Sep the Great North Swim is being held on Lake Windermere.

The swim is based at the Low Wood Hotel between Windermere and Ambleside. There could be a lot of traffic on that stretch of road (bad last year) so could affect people if they use the Windermere ferry from Sawrey to Bowness before going up to Ambleside.

Hope this is of use.
