great weather for tubbin

Wet weather tub has had:

alloy GT lid.
alloy GT mirror.
alloy GT inspection covers all round.
alloy GT seats covered with Autos Int kit.
GT Autos Int Kit.
GT Plexi windows.
GT style mesh headlight guards.
GT door and rear panels.
Carrera electric 12v Tacho.
Les Leston wheel.
VDO auxillary gauges in dash.
Lowered on the hoop.
Engine rebuild (new bearings all round) with 1750 P&Cs, S90 heads and new springs and valves, CB straight cut gears, Neutek 1 cam, CPS Push rods, CPS alloy pulley, Kennedy stage 1 clutch on 14lb flywheel, Mainly S90 alloy sump for s90 check valve (been told only 1), spun alloy push rod tubes, Precision spin on filter kit, Weber 40s with 32 venturi, Fuel pump block off, electric facet pump with filter king relief valve set at 3.5psi, sebring and stainless J tubes, all hardware cad 2.
Koni all round.
S90 compensator with new Boge mounts (ouch pricey).
PRservices gear box from an SC I think.
Brakes all rebuilt but no mods.
Small sized rare handles.
New battery tray with hook.
Bosch silver battery.
New Firestones all round.
Outlaw iron cross covers.

Plus lots of restoration work like 12v horns and relays, rebuilt 12v generator (small sized one) and regulator. Lights replaced. NOS Fuel cock with tank painted. Bonnet seal refitted correctly. Even got enamelled door frame brackets from PRservices.

Cant think of any more off hand but had lots done.

Its going back in the garage to have the side fixed and the electric sunroof put back in with a speedster GT roll bar in the back to finish interior. I have white paint from an Essex painter but car was originally silver so might get satin silver. I would like to fit a turbo too but think brakes will need some GT work before that but concerned that they would not get up to a working temp if vented and only driving on the road not a track.

All that and insurance only value car at 20k. I couldnt even get a decent replica for that.

Great spec, did you do the work or did you go to a specialist?

Would love to see it in the flesh and compare our cars, are you going to any events this year?

wet weather tub

I did almost all of the work myself. Except a few bits for MOTs that I always miss. Colour is the same as the Jim Clark car. A VW white or so I have been told. Im sure Mike Smith could tell you more about the white.
