Ever needed to know the horsepower of a 1972 911T, or the tyre sizes for a 1992 964? Well, now you can have information on every production Porsche from 1948 to the present day on your iPhone.
PorscheArchive is an innovative iPhone application that holds specifications, photographs and descriptions of all Porsches; from the 356, through every 911, 912, 914, 924, 944, 968, 928, Boxster, Cayman and Cayenne, to the latest Panamera.
The app is easy to navigate and you don’t need an internet connection to use it. The information is in your pocket whenever and wherever you require it.
PorscheArchive also includes an invaluable VIN decoder, so you can check vehicle identification numbers while you’re out looking at cars for sale, for instance. Simply type in the VIN of a car and the app will reveal essential data on the vehicle, including model, year of manufacture, body type, and much more. It’s essential to check the VIN to ensure that you’re not buying a Porsche that isn’t what it’s claimed to be.
The PorscheArchive app works on all iPhone and iPod Touch models. It costs £1.79 in the UK or $1.99 in the US from the Apple App Store, and is available worldwide.

don't give me yet another reason to buy one of the damn things.... I can only resist so long.

I'm the same Gary but how do I get a legit IPhone on Vodafone?.....it's the only network with a useable signal at my home address.

Expansys will sell you a genuine 3G or 3GS from £490 upto a

The problem is the REAL value of being on O2 is the unlimited data contract. While their network is shite, the always on data and ability to use wifi free all over the place really is compelling.

I used an original iPhone 2G on Vodafone from launch until October last year and while it was good - the unlimited data is hard to beat

I'm with Tom on this. One of the most powerful features is the MobileMe service - when I make a change to my contacts or diary it's automatically replicated on my laptop - and vice versa - no need to plug in, no need to sync.

Oh, and the video feature on the 3GS makes it worth every penny it cost me to upgrade early

What's the point? Give me one reason why and where this would prove useful for somebody other than anyone who hasn't got a girlfriend.

....and lets face it the ONLY reason to get an I-phone is the app that turns it into a Star Wars Light Sabre....only without the light sabre bit......at least the noise is cool......

Never heard of him before so I googled him. Given that his website has a link entitled "select Golf for some famous Golfers with the author" I can't help but start to understand why he might be unpopular!

Nothing wrong with a new Porsche but combine it with a love of golf and a pringle jumper etc...! Eeeeurgh, shudder!!
