Greetings all, anybody know where I can get one of those little nippon denso starter motors for my 12v '59A motor. I have one on my small block Ford V8 and it really cranks it over good. I believe they're geared up (or down?) which multiplies the available torque.
I'm slowly getting all my 12v electric stuff together, gauges, fuse box and relays next.
Cheers

356 Starter Motors
A Number of the usual 356 dealers sell them - but NOT PRS
Make sure that the teeth on the Starter you contemplate buying are compatible with the No. of teeth on your ring gear - we have seen too many damaged Flywheels
If you want a good 12v Starter Motor ring PRS at 07000 356 911
Ours are 1/2 the weight
They are Twice the torque - 2Kw
There is no Solenoid to foul the car body
There are no solenoid contacts to give you problems
There is no supporting Bush in the Bellhousing to give you problems
They are of Modern construction
They are manufactured from ALL NEW Parts - not re-furbished stuff
The downside - They do not look like old style 356 starter motors and are not cheap BUT they do work and will not give you on-going problems
ADVANTAGES - OUTWEIGH PRICE
