Ahem... after all this time I've finally managed to get the project moving again :oops:

A few things conspired to bring things to a halt in the middle of last year but thankfully I've now got some progress to post :lol:

So.... first it was engine out

With the oil tank out, some nasty rot in the opening for the filler neck was revealed...

Other probem areas for further investigation were:

Sills:

Door shuts were also just starting to bubble up, and the usual problems at the base of the a-pillars

Passenger side the worst, the drain tube that runs down inside from the sunroof seemed to have all but dissappeared, excellent!

Fuel tank was already out, spent a fun few hours getting the sealer off, some stubborn old stuff that. Its now covered in a shiny few coats of black POR15 - I know its not factory but I thought it would look fab with a nicely detailed fuchs spare sitting on top

Great project Tim. I did the same but with a '78SC.
Started 3 years ago and now just about finished!!
