Hey guys, sorry for the non porsche content, but Im really pulling my hair out at the mo with the website, and I could do with a little direction.

Im not after anyone blowing smoke up my ass, but real PRO and CON comments, as I'm looking for some feedback from the people who will buy our shite.

Think you need more exposure.

You tried selling your sh*te direct to some of trendy high street 'boutiques'?

Website is fine but Level is a unrecognised as a clothing brand. Marketing mate, the website won't do it alone. Try hitting some of the shops you'd like to see your product in with a marketing campaign, flyers, emailers n sh*te. Have a stand at some of surf, VW shows n stuff, I don't really move in those circles to know which are best, but there is always clothing stalls at VW show selling all manner of sh*t. Maybe see if you can get coverage in some relevant magazines. Contact the advertising/marketing people at these places, see what they can offer. Just ring around, you might make a few gaffs along the way but who cares.

Think big, try and get the names of the clothing buyers in some of the big named high street places, what about Ark Clothing. Try and get their buyers details and send them some flyers, then send them a T shirt in some creative manner.

Obviously don't forget your contact details. If they don't contact you within a few weeks, ring them up, pester them. Just be cheeky, you may p*ss some off, but somebody might give you an order for 10 or 10,000 off.

Justin I don't see much wrong with it at all. Nige makes some good comments.

The only things I really don't like it the way the site re sizes my browser window. It's my computer and I'll have the windows how I like thanks

But seriously after the splash page you click to get to the main page the site doesn't fit in the window!

ok this is my honest opinion as an average. internet shopper.

are you trying to sell T-shirts/clothing or just the business ? it took me a while to actually find the products as it was far more tempting to click on the side bars which just seem to be a blog about your lifestyle. than click on the almost hidden links to the products.

to be honest if i had just been browsing sites for nice T-shirts i wouldn't have looked further. you need to grab my attention from the moment i open your web page or i go shopping else where.

the main picture for the site while very (very) pretty dosn't tell me anything about the business. it looks more like an advert for a woodland trust or country holiday.

Also your front page strapline is abit alienating to anyone other than a 'rider' I like your stuff, but I ain't no rider and there is alot more people like me than riders. Stop being insular and sell to everyone and anyone, I want to buy into the lifestyle of being a rider, I don't necessarily want to be one.

Helen makes a good point your lifestyle blog is interesting stuff but I'd want to see all that under a 'who we are' heading and not directly off the mainpage. I want to see offers and the range, male and female, you have to drill down too far to get to buy owt. You know this stuff mate.

Sell the lifestyle get some shots of your rider dude mates wearing your stuff on there and on some flyers or ads in the relevant magazines if you want to target that particular audience. That's who the people buying the stuff want to be seen to be doing.

I'd be tempted to get some printed material together, maybe something like a menu of clothing send it and your details/background to some buyers if you can acquire their details. Don't put the pricing on! Emphasis on the original design/art, quality of material, is it hand made, UK sourced, etc. You've got to promote it to sell it as a brand.

Try contacting some of those lad mags to see if you can get your gear on their clothing pages. If you don't ask you won't know, it may cost you a few hundred but you'd get good exposure.

Have you got some banner ads or sponsored sites like this and Golf Gti forums, skateboarder forums.

Find your target audience and stuff it in their faces.

Hey guys,

Thanks for all the comments, really appreciated, The brand is not established yet, Im still working on it, and hoping to launch for the summer with a series of guerilla marketing campaigns, and publicity stunts.

The idea behind the splash page is we are currently having the logo CNC machined out of 6 inch think solid mahogany, at about 4ft high, we will then take it on location and shoot it, ie in the woods (trails) on the beach, at the skate park, on the slopes, in the nightclub and on the street, we already have a deal with Ride, skate document, and a few life style mags to run a teaser campaign before the launch.

please please please don't resize my browser window, I work on 3 monitors and set them up as i wish, fairly instant turn off I'm afraid.

Also Mac glitch, if you open the site in another window (as I have so it doesn't f*ck up my working windows I loose the cursor when typing this! not sure why but will try and replicate it.

nice colours by the way but too hard to find for most folk.

Can't seem to get beyond first page on my ibook g4. So useless for idiots is my first impression! Good luck and i WILL try again. W
