update
hello all
I just thought I would let you know the latest
Paul of PRS now has the car and will be digging out an early 60's motor block to run with my anicliaries.
This is a major help as I am in the middle of moving house to West Yorkshire, so having the car out of the equation is great at the moment. It maybe the more expensive option but it is well worth it. With the quality of work from Paul it should be well worth it.
Once the car is back on the road I will take it to a pictureque point and take some photos for you all.
All the best
Regards Jeremy

I'm looking to fit a tyre 1 or 4 motor into a C soondavidppp wrote:Hello all.
The VW route is by far the most economic: with all the modern tweaks a 100 BHP type 1 is a good bet.
And a T4 even better..most definitely better..
I do like the T4 motor route..but hard to look stock!
Kind regards

Update
Just so you know PRS did a great job and the car is now running a 1963 B 1600 Super motor.
This ties up nicely with the 1963 741 transmission
The car runs very well now and I am very pleased. Just need to get out in it more often.
Took it to Le Mans CLassic last year and also am now planning on tidying a few more bits up on it. The continued spending still continues!!
Paint scratches and carpet seem to be the items now.
Passed it's MOT fine this year with a squirter pump and flasher relay needing replacement, thanks Paul.
Hope to take it for a bit of a thrash for the Goodwood Breakfast 7th June
Take care
Regards Jeremy

Hi Jez - I had plans for Goodwood thsat day, but it clashes with Hedingham - which for my money is the best early Porsche event of the year! If you change your mind and head up that way it would be good to see your car.
