Who can cut me a set of keys for a lock number?

Post by Rustbucket »

HI
Looking for a person who can cut a set of keys for me to match a set of barrel locks I have.
The Lock numbers match for L+R, but no keys ;-(

I'm hoping the numbers will be all thats needed for the locksmith, although I am guessing they woudl need a lock to hand anyway.
Help!

Give W G Pollard ltd in Chesterfield a call on 01246 274771 , give them your key number and they`ll send you a key. All to do with computers or summat.

Excellent, knowledgable service and quick turnaround.

Mike.

I've got my door stripped right down and have the lock barrel out of the door handle but I cannot see how to get into this. I know on old Morry Minors and Minis the key number is usually stamped on the barrel. Anybody have any knowledge as to how the barrel comes apart and if it does is there a key number stamped on it. I was unable to find any keys in any of the many boxes that my 356 came in.

no idea BUT my 356a came to me with no keys for the doors so i wasn't able to lock the doors.

Andy Prill was able to have a set of keys cut for me, he also sorted it so that both doors use the same key. :P

well I managed to get a set of very tatty handles with barrel locks in them....
so I stripped them down. If you look, the lug on the handle where the lock is, that funny rectangular thing that clips under the door metal, has a 4(?) figure stamp and a L or R on it. Repro handles dont have the numbers.

You can strip the barrel down to the brass pins but I only have a key blank, so I cant do anything.
Hopefully the numbers indicate a lock reference.

Ill try the numbers asap and let you know what happens.....
