Has anyone looked into fuel pump pressure for later 356/912s?
My books and people on registry say different things.
My car feels like it has fuel starvation with pump set to 3psi.

I would have thought three is fine as two and a half is kind of normal , but in the past I have had issues with siting the pump , some pumps are happier pushing rather than pulling so to speak and if supplied the instructions should be followed and normally the pump must not be higher than the carbs , my 356 has a facet silver top down by the gearbox and a Malpassi filter king on the bulkhead and sometimes that felt like it was starving out and it runs Solex carbs on a nine one two motor, Bill.

You are correct - ALL pumps should push
Keep the suction length to a mininum - it is a basic principal in pumpimg whatever the medium or application
It does help considerably in our cars that we have a flooded suction

I found the problem it was a blocked idle jet that looks to be the wrong size.
I set pressure to 3.3psi as my books say between 3 -3.5psi.
