Cheers for the link tipi

After getting up real early on saturday moring 4am  for the first long run in it to Sandown the car ran up loverly :) The new engine pulls well and really wants to go, it sat nicely at 80 with my foot just touching the pedal in 5th and quickly over took anything with ease.

Only problem on the way back near home,it did manage to get a blocked main jet but got it home alright. I had taken the carbs apart only last week and cleaned them all out and blew out all the jets, also new fuel filter and cleaned the filter on the fuel pump to, But i gues it only takes one litlle bit of crap to block a jet.

My mate also gave me some sill trim which the car is now sporting

When i did get time to go outside, was busy helping out on a friends stall, i did see a few people looking/taking photos of it :) and had some very nice complements about the car, one from a former owner i met, which make's all the hard work worth it.

There are still a few bits to finish off like the underside and bits and bobs, but these are bits i can do on the weekends when i fancy it,
Main thing is now i can enjoy it :)
