Newbie

Post by Carmel Skip »

Hi Guys,
DDK Newbie here. My 67S has been parked in the front yard for 13 years (long story) and I am finally in the process of getting it ready to put on the road again. I have owned this car for almost 30 years. It has all the usual "been sitting in the yard" issues that I am sorting out. I have had the carbs cleaned/rebuilt, brakes rebuilt, purchased new konis, powdercoated the engine sheet metal and so forth. The motor was previously rebuilt with 906 Ps&Cs (seemed like a good idea at the time) and had about 5K miles on it when I parked it. Im in need of a small section of the bottom left wheelhousing in order to complete the front pan replacement. Once the pan is replaced I should be able to get the car back on the road in no time. I can worry about the paint job later. About me, I live in Carmel California, about 2 miles from the site of the Pebble Beach Concours and 7 miles from the Laguna Seca race track. I am an Early S Registry member and former PCA member. Im looking forward to contributing what little I can to this forum, seems like a great group of folks.
