Hi there to all DDKers, just posting to say hello and a big thanks to Hendrik, Roy and Paul at PRS for steering me in the right direction.
Have just aquired my first 356 but have been enjoying the forum and learning a bit over the past few months.Hope to meet some of you over the coming months and definitely going to Hedingham castle

Hi James
The car hasnt seen much use in the past 25 years so is going to Paul at PRS for a checking over and a few bits and bobs, i hope to have the car home at the end of march,
I will have a try at loading up some photos when i get the car, the car is a 1958 rhd 356A and i am planning to use the car regularly through the summer so it can develop a nice patina

Common as muck these 58A RHD silver with red

Not on the road at the moment; its having major surgery :(

The n after 1600 refers to Normal, sometimes called the Damen engine
Have you got any books? Loads of good info in the Brett Johnson for example

So whats the story with yours? sounds interesting

not really James, not a barn find or anything like that bought the car from a well known dealer who has had it since 2000, the guy befor him had it for 5 years did 500 miles and the people befor him had it in storage for 10 years ,so the last time the car was really used properly was around 84, the car has a really big and interesting history file going right back to may 58 so i have a record of all previous keepers and had a really interesting life up to 84. nice to hear of another 356A silver with red car for me this is the best color combination,

John, hope the car is getting on its way to be finished. Providing the weather looks to be okay I will make the drive to Hedingham also on the 7th June. Look out for me ( Blue WYL 8 ) it would be nice to see you.
