James, I believe that Kevin is heading home on sunday, not that it'll affect room numbers of course.

The Hotel said it would be wise to book if anyone ants to eat. Not done that yet to see what the score is. (September is a long way off) Lady at the hotel said it was possible to a book a room that seats about 40 for no extra charge if the group wanted it and just order from the std restaurant menu.

I'm not staying Friday night as I only live 15 mins away but we'll be coming for the meal and banter for that evening. However, I pass The Hotel at least once a week with work, and I'm quite happy to volunteer to be 'evening meal' coordinator for everyone - please let me know if anyone would like me to do that.
Website says I'm 'watching this topic' but it hasn't sent me any message updates so not sure what is happening there ! As a result I haven't been on here since 3rd Feb when I posted the extract above about anyone planning to eat at the hotel on Friday evening.
That's my excuses over with !

Vicki,
I'd be up for taking you up on your kind offer to liaise with the hotel for a Friday group meal reservation. From what I can see on here then the following DDkers have indicated that they would maybe like to get together for dinner on Friday.
Helen
Thomas
Ian
Vicki
Me
That would make 10 of us. Maybe those above and anyone else besides can confirm if they want to eat together and we can get a table booked ?
My only preference would be to have dinner not too early to give us time to get there. Later the better for us. How does 8.30pm sound ?
If that upsets anyone's digestive constitution then happy to be flexible rather then miss out on getting together.

I'm more than happy to book this for us all - we have no preference for time to eat - I'm sure we'll be able to come up with a mutually agreeable time - as the 'DDK tour' happens but once a year :) - just let me know the general consensus and I'll sort it.
Cheers,
Vicki.

Would it be OK if 911 & Porsche World tagged along too? That would mean me (Johnny Tipler) and Antony Fraser who'd take the snaps. Bit like me and Pete Robain did a couple of years ago in the North Yorks moors tour.

Coast - 2- Coast tour 2009

Thanks a lot guys! Nice to feel wanted (having just driven a Lotus to Morocco and the port authorities at Tangier were not impressed - till their palms were crossed with silver!) Let me know where you're staying (I can't access the links) and I'll get us booked in. I can do it in the 964 (as last time) though it's always fun to try something else, Helen!

Will there be any Doctors or Midwifes present?

I only ask as I am overjoyed to finally mention that Caroline and I are expecting a baby Bootsy who's due on September the 21st - maybe cutting it a bit fine!

We had our first scan yesterday and all was well at 13 weeks. :)
