Hello from Norwich

Hi everyone,

This forum looks great, think i could easily become addicted!
I am not currently a Porsche owner but I am in the process of acquiring a 911T Targa project, not sure of the year but its either a 72 or 73.
I'm new to Porsche so will very probably have a few questions when the time comes... I actually have one already , does anyone know the distance from the centre of the front wheel to the very back of the back bumper? I'm looking into transport options and this measurement would be very useful.

good grief another early Porsche owner in (around) Norwich, what on earth do they put in the water down there and can you send some up here please. my neighbours all think i'm mad.

i'm sure one of the guys will be along soon to let you have the measurments for a long wheel based early 911.

Hi everyone,
My 72 911T has arrived in Norfolk. I sent my dad out to get a few photos of it last week as I won't be able to see it myself until the end of the week. And here they are... In rather a worse state than I was expecting but I'll be able to have a good poke around on thursday and hopefully I haven't bitten of more than I can chew!
the car has apparently 150,000kms, two owners and has sat in a barn near Munich since the mid 80's.
I'd be interested to know what you guys make of it, be as brutal as you like, I'd rather know what i'm getting into before i get started. hope you can see the pics.

Hard to say without more detailed pics but it looks as though it may need a bit of sctructural work!

The rear quarters are beyond frightening ...but it's all just metal and nothing that was made before can't be made again!

I got the car back home yesterday and have been poking around it a little. It actually doesn't look as bad underneath as I was expecting. I'm wondering if there is anyone locally to me who would be prepared to have a look at it and offer any advice. I live on Newmarket Road and I'll be here tomorrow and could be here on Sunday too but after that will be away for a couple of weeks, so please let me know if any of you are up for it.

Thanks Berny, very kind of you to offer advice. I've seen some of your work on this forum and was very impressed. Unfortunately it is looking like I won't be able to take on this project at the moment and so it will probably be for sale soon. Thanks again
