V interesting Paul, thing is, How that Bas*terd at goodwood rated mine at 115 with the caps on. I don't believe him and since I'd already miffed him off with my unauthorised drive by in the tunnel i don't think he would have let me pass if I drove a bloody Gwizz.

Certainly Mike, but it only measures up to 130db.
Not sure yours will be on the scale...

Noise tests give extremely random readings. I have had variations of more than 7 dBa with my hillclimb car through a season, without changing anything. I have even had a 5 dBa difference once between Saturday and Sunday at the same venue, taken in the same place, by the same scrutineer. When I queried how that worked they just shrugged their shoulders!

OK, another one ticked off the list.
Special thanks go to fellow DDK'er Simon (Shambly).
He'd previously made some fuel cap fins and they were beauties.
Laser cut, just the right size and number of holes and profiled to fit the cap.
I quizzed him if he'd got any for sale and he very kindly gave one to me. Top bloke.

The Early911 guys painted it for me.
Now, I'm an easy going type of guy and I just asked for grey or silver paint, 'not too fussed.
So, in typical style, what do they do? Yep, completely ignore the customers wishes and without consultation, paint it white.

It turns up with a note: "white is the new grey".

I ask you.

Mike would be horrified, trying to work with a supplier who disregards your instructions and does what they think is best.

But.... it's spot on. I'd not considered white but they are right, it matches the contrasting graphics and looks good against the turquoise.
Sometimes the client is wrong.

Yes, I'll stop, I think people are getting sick of it by now anyway.

The car's just about finished so maybe an update after I get it on a rolling road but we're nearly done on here.
Once I get some time and a sunny day I will put some pics up of the completed vehicle.

I'm only jealous Paul, my car is currently gracing a kerb in SE London with not even the faintest shine on it. Its 'Outlaw' Style so I'm told but funds permitting it might even get some TLC this year. don't hold your breath but I've brought the paint and carpets, now i just need to find some clean metal to spray it onto

and by the way, what does "fabrik sonder wunsch" mean?
