Hi from North Essex

Post by Gunscrossed »

Hi,
I'm Pete from north Essex.
I've previously owned two Porsche, a Guards Red 1988 944S which once belonged to one of the writers for 911 & Porsche World so was featured monthly in the Mag, I guess around the late 90's?
After that I owned a US import 1972 911 T/E, I think the reg was RBY 687K anyone here have it?
I currently own a '69 3.0l MGC-GT,

But I'm on the lookout for another Porsche, although looking at prices it will probably be a 912 this time or perhaps a 914.
Cheers!

A warm welcome here from another Essex boy. Good luck with your search for another Porsche, you've come to the right place.

Thanks for the warm welcome, I'm on the coast, Holland on Sea.

If I go for a 914 are there any good specialists in Essex?

Parts etc are available from the usual suspects mail order or online, Roger Bray, Mittelmotor in Germany and Pelican in the US. Many service parts can be bought from your local motor factor. For servicing PRS in Billericay are close. Both Mike and Paul from PRS are DDK members and have a wealth of knowledge.

The best knowledge is right here within DDK, collectively there's very little that's not known. Don't be shy to ask any questions.

Oh, and I can talk about 914's until the cow's come home and always happy to show off mine

Hi Pete

I'm just across the Tendring peninsula, near Manningtree. My 912 is tucked up for the winter, but as soon as the weather improves it would be great to reinstate the 'Essex Boys' meets.

Good luck finding another car. Read all the advice available here BEFORE you buy - like I didn't
