The car was insured and MOT'd (as confirmed by Big Brother's computer) but I couldn't tax the car online because the computer said it was 'Private Light Goods' and not 'Historic' tax class.
It turns out that the last time the car was taxed predates the new computerised system and their records needed updating.
That meant a trip to the local DVLA office (Reading for me) to try and get it resolved.
I got my knuckles rapped for not declaring the car SORN these last couple of years. Ah well, sticks and stones....
Good job I didn't try driving the car before I sorted these issues.
Anyway Swansea will now send me a fresh V5, not like this:
