Emergency hood release - cable source?

Post by roboguy »

Hi guys,

I need to fit an emergency hood release to my coupe and was wondering if anyone had any recommendations on where to get suitable wire/cable to use?

After my engine cover release failing I'm paranoid about opening the bonnet! I'm going to remove the engine grill this weekend and hopefully be able to get in and fix whatever's gone wrong in there...

I had this problem and got PRS to install their option with a nice red handle!

I am sure they would be happy to send you one in the post for you to fit yourself?

James, can you run us through the install if you do it yourself, maybe shoot a couple of pics? I need to do this on both the cars, as its bound to happen to me one day - and like the idea of a proper handle rather than just a loop of wire rattling about..
