OK guys, a little update (without pics) for you.
The car is all but finished. It sailed through the MOT and I've now got it insured with AON.
Some of the last little niggles included sorting the wiring to get the fan/demister working, but just small scale stuff like that.
Nick has put some road miles on the car and it became evident that it would benefit from a careful suspension set up.
Obviously all the components are brand new and working fine but it received a full geometry setup (or as young people like Sladey say "full geo"

)
That set up wheel alignment, bump steer characteristics, camber optimisation & corner weighting etc. Also ride height.
We've set the car for a half way compromise between road and track use. If anything, with the emphasis on a firmer track type setting.
I've not driven the car yet but apparently it rides good, not too harsh, not too extreme.
